A Photoblog post of my random travels.
"Smell the sea and feel the sky, let your soul and spirit fly." Van Morrison
We arrived at Ocean Shores Washington, we had a hotel near the beach and a nice dinner at the Quinalt Resort & Casinos. We took a scenic drive along the coast on Rt 109, there are many beaches along this route. One of the beaches reminded us of home our own Ocean City Maryland but this is called Ocean City, Washington. Hubby found a Sand Dollar on one of beaches, we saw a lot of shorebirds and gulls. So check out below, some of our images from our over night visit.
A view at the Ocean Shores beach.
Birds and cars on the beach, I hope the birds stay safe.
I am not sure what these blooms are called, these bushes were near a lot of the beaches and trails.
Below are some scenes from our walk along the trail at the Griffiths-Priday Ocean State Park. Here you see the river, dunes and beach. I am not sure of my hummingbird id, I was told it could be a Rufous or an Allen's.
It is hard to tell were the sand ends and the ocean and sky begin.
I am sharing some of my random travel photos, this is not only for my followers but more of a reminder for me and my hubby of where we have been and what we have seen over the years. All good memories for us, I hope you enjoy too.

ReplyDeleteStunning... the 'bloom' looks to be a variety of <a href="https://www.rhs.org.uk/Plants/5254/Cytisus-scoparius/Details"rel="nofollow>Broom, which is very common around Scottish shorelines and UK gardens. It's perfume is coconut-like. YAM xx
Hello Yam, Thanks so much for the comment, plant id and the website link. Have a happy day!

Delete...oh that's interesting... the hyperlink didn't do the usual.... must be this different template - will have to remember if I do that again for you, just to put a straight URL in and not worry about 'hiding' behind the keyword. Sigh... Yxx
this is one very BIG beautiful beach... love the one that merges sky and water. so beautiful
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, it was a big beach, seemed like it took forever to reach the water. The last photo is my favorite too. Enjoy your day!
