Eileen's Random Travels

 Eileen's Random Travels

I am sharing some of my random travel photos, this is not only for my followers but more of a reminder for me and my hubby of where we have been and what we have seen over the years. All good memories for us, I hope you enjoy too.

After spending the night in Cambridge Maryland, we drove a loop home with a stop at the Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge in Delaware.

Birdwatching is one of my favorite hobbies, Bombay Hook NWR is a great place for seeing different bird species.  Below are the Great Egret, Snowy Egret, Glossy Ibis and the American Avocets.

Another look at the American Avocets.

Below are shorebirds, one is the Dowitcher.

It is rare to see a Clapper Rail out in the open, on this day we saw two young Clapper Rails.

The Clapper Rail running across the mud toward a Great Blue Heron.

A few Mute Swans with the Egrets.
