Eileen's Random Travels

A Photoblog post of my random travels.

"Travel is my therapy." unknown

Raymondskill Falls located in the Delaware Watergap , it is a series of three cascading waterfalls. There is a fairly easy loop trail to the waterfalls and  lookouts and thru the forest back to the parking lot.

I am sharing some of my random travel photos, this is not only for my followers but more of a reminder for me and my hubby of where we have been and what we have seen over the years. All good memories for us, I hope you enjoy too.

Eileen's Random Travels

A Photoblog post of my random travels.

"Dare to live the life you most wanted."  unknown

These images continue my last post on the Cape Flattery Trail, now I am sharing view of the Cape Flattery Lighthouse and island, the Pacific Ocean meets the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
We walked the trail to the very end, the most Northwestern point of the USA.

I used the Lunapic's Landscape to edit the photo above, it seems odd to that the water turned brown. It is neat, but I think I like the original. Which one do you like?

A Photoblog post of my random travels.

" A traveler without observation is a bird without wings."  Moslih Eddin Saadi

The Cape Flattery Trail located on the Makah Reservation takes you to the most Northwestern part of the USA.

There are a few overlooks to check out on the way to the furthest point of the trail and the Cape Flattery.

There are some great looking trees along the trail, we could hear a Bald Eagle calling from a nearby nest.

Eileen's Random Travels

A Photoblog post of my random travels.

"A little step may be the beginning of a great journey." unknown

These are some images from our visit to the Highlands Hammock State Park near Sebring Florida. We walked on elevated boardwalk thru the old growth bald cypress swamp.

A Great Egret in the swamp.

The narrow boardwalk, glad there was a handrail.

White Ibis in the swamp

Cypress knees look like boney fingers sticking out of the ground.

We saw a lot of orange trees in this park.

It is always cool the see the Armadillos.

Fungi growing on the tree.

A heart shaped lichen spot.

Pretty flowers

Eileen's Random Travels

A Photoblog post of my random travels.

"One's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things."  Henry Miller

Hello, hubby and I went on a short trip to Stroudsburg Pennsylvania and the Delaware Watergap.  I learned about this area from Linda's blog Beauty around Us. Linda posted about the waterfalls  she visited, soon after hubby and I planned our trip.

This is Bushkill Falls, lots of steps and a network of boardwalks. Trails can be as long as 15 minutes to a 2 hour walk.

Eileen's Random Travels

A Photoblog post of my random travels.

"Let your memory be your travel bag."  Alexander Solzhenitsyn

I am sharing more images from Port Townsend Washington state. We took the ferry from Coupeville to Port Townsend and decided to look for another state park to visit. That is when we found the Port Wilson Lighthouse and Fort Worden State Park.

Port Wilson Lighthouse

My original photo is below, this is the landscape edit from LunaPic.

Eileen's Random Travels

A Photoblog post of my random travels.

"Keep calm and travel on."

During our Washington State trip we had some spare time while waiting for the ferry to take us from Coupeville to Port Townsend. We used our time to visit the Fort Casey State Park and the Admiralty Lighthouse which was nearby the ferry terminal.

I thought this was the cutest lighthouses I have ever seen, my photo makes it look like it is a miniature model.

I will never be as good as Sandra the Mad Snapper with her fun photo edits, but this LunaPic was an easy edit below called Landscape. I like how it changed my dreary sky that was in the original photo.

A view from the grounds of the Fort Casey park and lighthouse.  Sorry about my dreary photos, we had gray cloudy skies on the day of our ferry ride to Port Townsend.
