Last weekend hubby and I took a daytrip to Blackwater NWR and Ocean City, Md. The town of Ocean City runs from the Ocean City inlet to the Indian River inlet in Delaware. About nine miles of beach, hotels and condo's. It is a popular vacation spot for families. Except for Senior week, traditionally high school grad's will go for a week or so after their graduation. Last weekend there were only a few stores open on the boardwalk. The boardwalk runs from the inlet to 27th street and along it are arcades, restaurants, hotels and a lot of little stores. Hubby was hoping to eat some Thrasher french fries ( his favorite), no luck they were in the process of remodeling. Then he found a Candy Kitchen store open, well that made his day. He bought some chocolate candy. I was hoping to see some new birds and hubby loves the ocean. I did see a new bird, it was a surf scoter. There was a flock of them near the Ocean City inlet.
Thanks to the Holleys and thanks for stopping by to see my scenic Sunday.
