Niagara Falls and Scenic Sunday

Niagara Falls is a big attraction in New York and Canada. My header photo show a rainbow over the falls on the American side looking over at the Canadian side. The view of the falls looks different from each side. So when my family took a trip we stayed a night on the American side and a night on the Canadian side of the falls.  On the American side we took the boat ride to the falls and we also went down the steps on the side on the falls.

This photo reminds me of the smurfs. Do you remember that cartoon? Each person is given a blue plastic rain poncho to put on, you can really be drenched from the mist off the falls.

The photo was taken on the Canadian looking back over at the American side. You can see a viewing tower that was built on the American side.

A view of the river before the falls seen from the Canadian side of the falls.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and thanks to the Holleys for hosting Scenic Sunday.

  2. I haven't been to Niagara Falls since November 2008. We didn't go at all last year. We usually make a couple trips up there each year. It's on our want-to-do list for this year, when it gets warmer.

  5. Awesome photos! That stairway/walkway is amazing. I've been to the Falls twice in my lifetime but never rode on The Maid of the Mist. I guess that will be for the next visit.

  11. Your posts always give me places to add to our "must visit" list. (And always make me wish I were a better photographer!)

Who or what was on that boat? I'll try enlarging it when I get to the other computer; can't tell what it is on my laptop.
