Eileen's Random Travels

Eileen's Random Travels..a Photoblog post

I am sharing some of my random travel photos, this is not only for my followers but a reminder for me and my hubby of where we have been and what we have seen over the years. All good memories for us, I hope you enjoy too.

"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page."    by Saint Augustine

The Red Bus dropped us off at the High Bridge and the trail head for our day hike to the Coon Lake.

A pretty view of the river from the bridge.

Spawning fish seen from the bridge above.

A view of Coon Lake, our destination and a great hike from Stehekin. I may do another post from our hike along the Lake Chelan shore from the lodge.
Thanks for your visit and for the comments. Enjoy your day!

  7. Eileen, you were in our neck of the woods! My husband is from Chelan - visits there are regular events. This summer Stehekin was just spared in the massive wild fire that swept along the lake shore threatening Holden Village and destroying the resort cabins at Domkee Lake, which is nearby. There was a real fear that Stehekin would also be lost. Another note, yesterday's paper had an article by a fellow wanting to change the name of Coon Lake back to the name of the man who discovered it, Howard Lake. He is claiming there are no racoons at the lake . . .

  14. Very neat how you can see the fish so clearly! Wow, that's nice-looking water. Around here lakes and rivers are sort of greenish. Enjoyed your shots of the river and lake.
