Eileen's Random Travels

Eileen's Random Travels..a Photoblog post

I am sharing some of my random travel photos, this is not only for my followers but a reminder for me and my hubby of where we have been and what we have seen over the years. All good memories for us, I hope you enjoy too.

The Red Bus dropped us off at the High Bridge and the trail head for our day hike to the Coon Lake.

A pretty view of the river from the bridge.

Spawning fish seen from the bridge above.

A view of Coon Lake, our destination and a great hike from Stehekin. I may do another post from our hike along the Lake Chelan shore from the lodge.
Thanks for your visit and for the comments. Enjoy your day!

"I see my path, but I don't know where it leads. Not knowing where I am going is what inspires me to travel it." Rosalia de Castro

We arrived in Stehekin by ferry, it is a four hour ride from Chelan. The ferry is one of the two transportation methods to reach this remote resort. This resort is the closest to the major entryway to the North Cascades, Pacific Crest trail.

The other way tourists can arrive is by the seaplane, the plane lands on Lake Chelan in Stehekin.

The Red Buses are used to take hikers to the start of the Pacific Crest trail. One day we used the red bus to take us to the High Bridge the start of our hike to Coon Lake.

A view of the lake and Cascade Mountains. I will do another post on our hikes around Lake Chelan and on the Pacific Crest Trail.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and for the nice comments.
