Eileen's Random Travels

A Photoblog post of my random travels.

"I travel because life is short." unknown

I have some more Florida state parks to share, hubby and I enjoyed hiking on many of the trails in the Florida parks. The greenery and vegetation is beautiful and we almost always saw some kind of wildlife.

These are images from a park called the Black Bear Wilderness Area, located in Sanford Florida. With it's name, it obvious known for seeing black bears. We did not see the bears but I did manage to see more Florida birds and gators. On this day we hiked 4.8 miles.

Some of this trail was boardwalk and some a dirt trail.

I am not sure if this is the Palmetto palm. It seems common in most of the Florida parks.

A juvenile White Ibis

Are there any Florida parks that do not have resident gators? I do not think so.

A green heron seen along side of the trail

The trail led to a view of the St.Johns River.

I am sharing some of my random travel photos, this is not only for my followers but more of a reminder for me and my hubby of where we have been and what we have seen over the years. All good memories for us, I hope you enjoy too.

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day!

  2. I love that last quote... love the trail pic to. I have wandered many paths many times and I have never seen anything other than a few birds.. I wonder if it is because I make to much noise talking

  3. Gators, gators EVERYWHERE!!!

We used to see a lot in central Florida. So far, I've only seen one here in Jacksonville, but I saw him in a canal right by the river so they MUST be in the river too. I'm keeping my eyes open. LOL
