Hike to Mirror Lake

I am linking up with Fiona's Green Day and Tricia's  Watery Wednesday II and Gemma's  Scenic Weekend

HAPPY MARCH, everyone.. I am really looking forward to spring....how about you?

I decided to post these smaller photos, if you like to see a larger image just click on the photos.
Here we are hiking to Mirror Lake in Oregon near Mount Hood.

Our hike circled the lake so we had various view of the lake as we walked.

In July the wildflowers were plentiful and looked beautiful, I believe this is called Indian Paintbrush.

It was well worth the hike to Mirror Lake to see this pretty reflection of Mount Hood.

I hope you enjoyed coming on the walk with hubby and I. We had a great time and enjoyed the gorgeous scenery of Oregon.

Thanks for stopping by to see my post and thanks to Tricia the host of Watery Wednesday II  and to Fiona for hosting Green Day  and to Gemma for hosting Scenic Weekends.  I wish everyone a safe and happy weekend.

An Oregon Waterfall and Starfish

I am linking up with Fiona's Green Day and Tricia's  Watery Wednesday II and Gemma's  Scenic Weekend

Foggy scenes on the Oregon coastline can be the norm.

A walk down the foggy beach leds us to this waterfall, a beautiful sight to see along the Oregon coastline.

Above is one of my favorite Oregon coast photos, I was able to include a purple starfish along with the waterfall.

I was amazed at all the starfish and the green anemone were a cool sight to see.

I couldn't decide whether I liked the purple or the orange Starfish. I believe they can also be called sea-stars. Even their names sound cute.

Not far from the waterfall were a couple of little sea caves. You would not want to be there when the tide is high.

It was a little hike back to the parking lot and our car. The trail took you over the bridge and thru this gorgeous forest.

Not sure how deep these roots are but I would not want to be around when this tall tree falls.

You can not get lost here, the signs on the trail were pretty clear. I loved the green forest of the Pacific Northwest. The trails are just lush, you want to linger and check out every little thing.

I hope you enjoyed my hike thru the forest to the beach. Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the nice comments. To see more watery shots please visit Watery Wednesday and for more of the green check out Fiona's Green Day and for your scenic shots please visit Gemma's Scenic Weekends. I hope to see you there!

A visit to the fish hatchery.

A view of the bridge connecting Oregon to Washington state. The bridge is called the Bridge of the Gods.

Bridal Veil Falls, Oregon

I am linking up with Fiona's Green Day and Tricia's  Watery Wednesday II and Gemma's  Scenic Weekend

I am kind of tired of winter and I am really looking forward to Spring. These are some archive shots from our trip back in July, 2012  to Oregon. Hubby and I hiked to see the Bridal Veil Falls. I might have showed the waterfall before but not all the lush greenery and trail.

A view from the trail leading to the waterfall and overlook.

Bridal Veil Falls was chug-a-lugging. The scene was very pretty with the waterfall and all the greenery.

This was the trail up to the overlook for the waterfall.

Oregon in July was very lush and green.I love these big and beautiful ferns.

And these moss covered trees are just gorgeous. I felt like I was walking in a rainforest. Lush greenery everywhere you looked.

Thanks for stopping by to see my post and thanks to Tricia the host of Watery Wednesday II  and to Fiona for hosting Green Day  and to Gemma for hosting Scenic Weekends.  I wish everyone a safe and happy weekend.

Otter Lake, Blue Ridge Parkway

I am linking up with Fiona's Green Day and  Gemma's  Scenic Weekends.  Check out the link and join in with your pretty scenic photos.

This post is from our trip in October, we drove down the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Smoky Mountains. The Parkway follows the Appalachian Mountains and boast some of the most scenic scenery in the world. I guess this is a matter of opinion, I can say it is a very pretty area. We made a quick stop at this scenic lake named Otter Lake.

I think it is a pretty lake and the reflections were beautiful. And of course I have a thing for trees.

Otter Lake and the dam are located at milepost 61 and not far from the James River Visitor center. There is a loop trail going around the lake or you can continue on the Otter Creek trail to the campground and visitor center.

Thanks for stopping by to see my post and thanks to Fiona for hosting Green Day  and to Gemma for hosting Scenic Weekends.  I wish everyone a happy weekend.
