Each oxcart I saw looked like a beautiful piece of artwork. They are highly ornate and elegantly carved and painted with beautiful bright colors. A national symbol of Costa Rica, the oxcart played an important role in the country's history. The oxcarts were used to transport coffee beans to the markets. If you should visit Costa Rica, Sarchi is definitely worth a visit. And wouldn't it be cool to have one of these oxcarts in your yard.

Very beautiful artwork on the carts! I saw a cart, similarly painted while at World Showcase at Walt Disney World. The cart was at the Italy pavilion and was being used to sell desserts.

They are real artworks indeed, so beautiful that I couldn't leave them outside in a yard. Many nice places you've visited.
ReplyDeleteMaia, thank for your comment. You are right, maybe the oxcart would be better under a covered porch.

Those are gorgeous. Nice to see a necessary item like their ox carts so beautifully decorated. Maybe we should paint out cars like this.
