Coal Mining near my favorite park Bryce National Park

I have been to Bryce National park a few times in 2005 and 2008 and I loved it. I want to share some of my old photos to show what a beautiful park it is.  I am hoping some of my blog readers will also click on the link and send their own letter. The beauty of this park and Southwestern Utah should be protected and preserved.

I hate to see this gorgeous park ruined with dirty air, coal mining trucks and the natural scenery into and around this beautiful place.

Thanks for stopping by my post.

  1. "Some places are simply too special to industrialize. Bryce Canyon is one of them".

AGREED! I have been there and it is simply beautiful.

I certainly will participate and take action.

  7. I'm with you. National Parks were set aside to be spared from overdevelopment and preserved. How can NPS do that with mining next door. Way too close to my back yard. Governor Herbert will be hearing from me.

  13. I stayed up late last night and got caught up reading about all the issues related to mining! I just think it's way too close for this beautiful place. I flew in to Arizona back in 2000 to visit my boys who were living their at the time. We all took a drive to visit this fabulous place. This is crazy..I can't understand it? Thanks for the link- I did fill it out and certainly hope he will reconsider.

  14. Utah is a treasure that should be left alone...we visited Bryce last March when it was still covered with snow and it's beauty overwhelmed me!
